Product Take-Back and Recycle Program

Precision Flow Ltd has launched a formal product disposal Take-Back and Recycle Program in Europe that complies with the European Union Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment, also known as the "WEEE Directive".

This program will provide self-service instructions for ease of use product take-back and recycling. Equipment that is returned through this program will be handled in an environmentally safe manner using processes that meet or exceed the WEEE Directive requirements. This program is for Precision Flow Ltd clamp on flow meter customers who have Precision Flow Ltd clamp on ultrasonic flowmeters, transit time meters,  Doppler flowmeters or non invasive ultrasonic clamp on flow meters that have reached the end of life.

Program guidelines are as follows:

           Precision Flow Ltd will accept Precision Flow Ltd (UK) branded or Precision Flow Ltd subsidiary branded clamp on ultrasonic flowmeters, transit time flow meters,  Doppler flowmeters or non invasive ultrasonic clamp on flow meters, with or without the standard WEEE "dust-bin" symbol.

           Return of electrical and electronic equipment requires Precision Flow Ltd authorization prior to return. 

           If the clamp on ultrasonic flow meter to be returned is a system that requires dismantling, the customer will be responsible for all expenses associated with the dismantling and removal of the system.

Welcome to the Precision Flow Ltd recycle program.  Precision Flow Ltd’s program provides Precision Flow Ltd customers an environmentally responsible solution for the return and recycling of your Precision Flow Ltd technology assets that is compliant with current and forthcoming regional regulations. The Precision Flow Ltd Recycle Program is easy to use. It has been structured to make the treatment, recovery, and recycling of Precision Flow Ltd Clamp on ultrasonic flowmeters, transit time meters or Doppler flowmeters environmentally sound and cost effective.  It relieves the user of the responsibility managing outdated, or used equipment.   Precision Flow Ltd has outsourced its services to DHL WEEE Compliance.  Just follow these easy steps to get started:

1.         Identify the equipment that you want to return to Precision Flow Ltd

2.         De-install and pack your equipment :

                                If applicable, batteries removed

                                If applicable, data removed

3.         Contact Precision Flow Ltd / DHL Compliance to arrange for return or pickup

Q. Is the Recycle program available worldwide?

A. The program is currently available in the European Union. Please contact us for availability in your location.

Q. How is the Precision Flow Ltd Recycle Program managed?

A. The program enables Precision Flow Ltd customers to ship Precision Flow Ltd and Precision Flow Ltd subsidiary branded clamp on ultrasonic flowmeters, transit time flow meters, Doppler flowmeters or non invasive ultrasonic clamp on flow meters equipment to a designated location for treatment, recovery and recycling purposes.

Q. What happens to the equipment that gets returned?

A. The equipment that is returned to Precision Flow Ltd through this program will be handled in an environmentally safe manner through processes that comply with all applicable electronic waste regulations - e.g., EU WEEE Directive.

Q. Who pays the recycling and transport costs?

A. Precision Flow Ltd pays all recycling fees. Whether or not Precision Flow Ltd pays for transport costs of return shipments depends upon consolidation and its volume. A deposit system is economically not feasible and impractical. Control of such a system would add a huge burden to our sales program and would increase our costs or prices.

Q. What is my business’s liability for product that is returned through this program?

A. For all equipment that is returned through this program indemnifying you against liability (or releasing your business from any further liability for the equipment). Upon return Precision Flow Ltd assumes that users complied to Member State’s legislation with respect to safety, hazardous substances, etc.

Q. What Clamp on ultrasonic flowmeters, transit time meters or Doppler flowmeters are included in this service?

A. Precision Flow Ltd will accept Precision Flow Ltd (UK) subsidiary branded clamp on ultrasonic flowmeters, transit time flow meters,  Doppler flowmeters or non invasive ultrasonic clamp on flow meters in the eligible countries. Competitor branded equipment will only be accepted on a one-for-one basis at time of purchase of similar Precision Flow Ltd equipment.

Note: The terms "disposal", "disposed of", and "handling" refer to the treatment, recovery, recycling and environmentally sound disposal of Precision Flow Ltd equipment that is being discarded.

Terms and Conditions

         Customers accept the following terms and conditions when they submit a Recycle request: The returned product may not be contaminated with substances that may be hazardous to health or harmful to the environment.

         Customer is responsible for the deletion of any sensitive data and removal of any battery contained in or on devices or data carriers that are returned to Precision Flow Ltd.

         Packaging Condition - All Clamp on ultrasonic flowmeters, transit time meters or Doppler flowmeters are to be packed and ready for pickup, boxed and labeled with the Return Authorization Number.

         Recycle Fees - Precision Flow Ltd will pay all recycling fees related to the treatment, recovery, recycling and environmentally sound disposal of the clamp on ultrasonic flowmeters, transit time flow meters, Doppler flowmeters or non invasive ultrasonic clamp on flow meters submitted through this program. 

         Transport costs:

- End-users:  You will be asked to return their clamp on ultrasonic flowmeters, transit time flow meters,  Doppler flowmeters or non invasive ultrasonic clamp on flow meters to a pre-defined address, since a deposit system is economically not feasible and is impractical.

- Distributors: Based upon volume, consolidated either >100 kg or 1 m3, with a maximum frequency of once a month  --  Precision Flow Ltd will arrange pick up.

         Assignment - The End User Customer assigns all rights in the title and treatment, recovery, recycling and environmentally sound disposal of the recycle product to Precision Flow Ltd, free and clear of any future encumbrances. The End User Customer warrants that they have clear and merchantable title to the product being shipped to Precision Flow Ltd.

         Customer will be responsible for any costs incurred if incorrect Clamp on ultrasonic flowmeters, transit time meters or Doppler flowmeters are identified and sent for shipment.

         Precision Flow Ltd is not responsible for any product shipped in error and makes no guarantees that such product can be returned to the Customer.

         Customer is held responsible to apply the instructions sent. If not, Precision Flow Ltd is not held responsible when those instruments end up in other collective schemes.
